Previously - Part 3: A different perspective
Kristen Hollands, research fellow
Being involved in research isn’t just about taking part in research studies. Patients and members of the public can give their views or get actively involved to help shape and improve research and make sure it’s relevant to those that matter most – the patients.
In part 3 of his journey Brin does just that. He offers a stroke patient's perspective to researcher Kristen Hollands who is working on a succession of studies looking at why stroke survivors have so many falls.
“I was able to give the researchers a different perspective on the work that they were doing”
“By being involved in the research process Brin can tell us if the research questions that we are asking are relevant for him in daily life, and for other stoke patients like him”
